The main exposition is deployed in 16 halls and has more than 17 thousand exhibits.
Guided tour «Ukraine. War. Own Memory» tells about heroism, valor, sacrifice and tragedy of the people of Ukraine during the Second World War. It highlights global events of the war and detached historical facts. The tour is organized in the main exposition for groups of up to 30 persons. The duration is an hour and a half.

Observation deck «Extreme» – 91,0 m
It provides physical activity, requires comfortable footwear and sportswear pants. For 18+ only. An instructor accompanies the climbing.
Open only if the weather is fine (t °С from + 5 to +30, no precipitation).

Observation deck «Outlook» – 36,6 m
The climbing is accessible to visitors of all ages except for children of preschool age (up to 6 years). The observation deck is around the sculpture pedestal. On the eastern and the western sides there are military binoculars made in 1946 with 30.0x zoom which let you enjoy the beauty of Kyiv.
It works under good weather conditions (t °C from +5 till +30), without precipitation and strong wind gusts.
Cost – 50 UAH
Climbing to the observation decks are ordered at the ticket office of the museum and are carried out in turn.

Multimedia project "Martirology of the Victims of the Battles for the Independence and Territorial Integrity of Ukraine on the Eastern Territories" is located under the arches of the Moscow Gates. It contains the names of the victims in the battles for freedom of Ukraine.

Exposition «At the Foreign Wars» is deployed in three halls and has about 5 thousand exhibits. Guided tour «At the Foreign Wars» tells about the Ukrainians who have been participating in the local wars and armed conflicts for about half of the century while serving in the Soviet Army and fulfilling the so-called «international duty». It is organized for groups of up to 30 persons. The duration is an hour and a half.

The exhibition of military techniques and weapons is deployed on the open site of the Memorial complex and includes 65 samples of military techniques and weapons of the 20th century.
The exhibition exhibits: armored vehicles, guns and jet units, naval weapons, armored personnel carriers and aviation techniques.

Mi-24 Helicopter
Next to the building of the exposition «At the Foreign Wars» there are examples of the heavy military techniques made in the USSR. There is the Mi-24 helicopter (NATO designation – «Hind») among them which was used to support infantry, e.g. during the war in Afghanistan.
You can visit Mi-24 the cockpit and feel yourself like a military pilot and the participant of the recorded air fight that sounds in the aircraft.
Li-2 transport aircraft
Constructed in 1942 in Tashkent, based on the PS-84 passenger plane (1939) which was a license-built version of the American Douglas DC-3 aircraft. During the Second World War it was used for different purposes: supplying armed forces, partisans, inhabitants of surrounded cities, transporting of the USSR government representatives. The German Instrument of Surrender was transported by such plane from Moscow to Berlin.
You can visit aircraft cockpit and feel yourself like a pilot, navigator or operator. In the passenger compartment you can watch documentary.
MiG-23 supersonic jet fighter aircraft
The MiG-23 multipurpose fighter aircraft (NATO designation – «Flogger» («Cikar») was designed for striking air targets day and night, in simple and difficult weather conditions as well as with active and passive obstacles. The first flight was performed on the 10th of April 1967. It was used almost in all Arab-Israeli Wars, in Ethiopia, Angola and Afghanistan.
You can visit aircraft cockpit and feel yourself like a pilot.

Quest at the Memorial complex
The quest for teenagers and adults based on the military history is conducted at the Memorial complex. The program includes search of objects at the territory of the Memorial and the exhibition of military vehicles, identification of original military equipment of different countries in the exposition halls, theatrical performance and so on. The quest is available in Ukrainian and English.

The recreation area
There is a recreation area near the museum cafe in the main building. In a cozy atmosphere, comfortably settling on soft sofas you can rest, take advantage of Wi-Fi, share nice impressions and also take a souvenir photo near a model of aircraft carrier cruiser “Kyiv”. Have a nice rest!
There is a museum store in the main building, in which visitors expect a variety of museum souvenirs: museum editions, posters, postcards, souvenir plates, magnets, etc.
